The problem with this Apple announcement is that there is no background information. At least I have not read which satellites they use. How is the combination of landmark stations and satellites handled? A satellite connection doesn't mean you have connections everywhere at the same speed and cost (see Starlink). Also, "find" them is different for geostationary satellites. Of course, for messages, latency etc., is not a big deal, but anyway, the real revolution would start if they use something similar to Starlink and allow Facetime etc., in the future on each iPhone. Anyway, it's a promising feature at least.
